My son Scott who is now 14 years old has celebral palsy as a result of being born 13 weeks early.  Over the last 8 years he has received additional physiotherapy to assist with his development from Bobath Scotland.

As some of you are will be aware I have run a few marathons in the UK before and raised some funds for Bobath in the process.  This year I am lucky enough to have got a place in the New York marathon which has made the last 16 weeks of training a bit easier! The cost of the trip is being funded by myself but I would be grateful for any donations which will assist Bobath to continue to provide assistance to children in Scotland with celebral palsy.

So I go this Thursday  29 Oct & unfortunately have been allocated a ferry time from Staten Island of 5.30am on Sunday 1 Nov.  So will be a long wait before race starts at 9.40am!  Hopefully you might have time to watch the event on the TV on Sunday afternoon.
