Story
As some of you may remember, last year we started a #Carols4Cancer Campaign which ran throughout Advent from the 1st to the 24th December in memory of my beautiful friend Polly Noble and many others who have lost their lives to Cancer. Cancer is a complete #### and we all know people whose lives have been lost or effected by it.
Last year we raised just over £1500 towards clinical testing at the Institute of Cancer Research and I would love it if we could raise £2500 this year.
This year, Instead of me singing carols first thing in the morning and then nominating three people, I'm going to row 1000 metres for each day, so by the end of Advent, I will have rowed over 300,000 metres which is 180 miles and the equivalent of rowing from Dover to Calais 9 times. As soon as I've rowed the allotted amount I will nominate Three people to record their #Carols4Cancer Challenge and another three each day after.
So after you are nominated, All you have to do is record yourself, singing or dancing to your favourite Christmas song and then nominate three other people to do the challenge in the next 24hrs and upload your video onto Facebook or Twitter with the Hastag #Carols4Cancer. Last year we had someone playing a Christmas carol through a watering can, a group of singers performed their own music video of gaudete and someone even choreographed their own dance routine to Mariah Carey so be creative, get your family involved, sing with a celebrity, dress up, the bigger the better!
For the musicians amongst you it's another opportunity to show the world just how vital and important music is, and the more noise we can create the more money we will be able to raise, to help us get one step closer to ridding the world of Cancer altogether.
