Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

As some of you know, I ran the Stratford half-marathon in May 2011 and managed better than expected, so foolishly, in the first flush of success, I signed up for London. This time I'm raising funds for Arthritis Care. Neil - husband to me and dad to Ben, Rory and Beth - had Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosed when he was 40 and has continued through the years in an admirably stoical fashion, determined to do what he can, when he can. He's kept as active as possible and is a fantastic example to anyone who knows him regards being positive Arthritis Care is not a high profile Charity, but typical of such organisations, does an amazing job, helping those afflicted by what can be a painful and debilitating illness. I have now done the Marathon!!!! a bit weary and stiff afterwards but otherwise okay. Particularly glad to have reached the finishing line. Now I plan to do something sedentary!!! Any donations are still gratefully received. I was overwhelmed by the number of people running for worthy causes, many inspired by people in their family affected in some way or other.

I really hope you'll support me.
