Story

Update 29 June 2008
Thank you to everyone who sponsored me, the abseil went ahead successfully today and the WMC survived! Over £12,000 was raised in total.
The hardest part was getting up to the roof, the lift only goes to the 6th floor and it was ladder climbing for the rest of it
Some photos of the day have been added to the page.
====================================================================
Hi everyone,
yes, I'm mad.  I've abseiled once before from a viaduct over a raging river...this is a little bit higher at 35m, but it's from the top of the Millennium Centre!  Provided Torchwood keep away all should be well

Not the first thing you put on your to-do list a couple of months after giving birth to your first born, but don't worry, I've made a will.

Update - I'll be checking in for my safety briefing at 13.30 on the day, not sure how long it will take after this before we go "over the top", but if anyone wants to come along to laugh at me on the day, it's that sort of time!

What will the sponsorship money go to? Well....

A £1 internet top up will provide the equivalent of the materials for a child to enjoy an arts workshop.

Your £5 donation will allow us to give the equivalent of a school child a half day workshop

A £12 donation would cover the cover of a replacement bulb for a theatre spotlight

Your £30 donation allows us to host an education workshop for a class of school children

Your £75 donation will provide the equivalent of an audio description headset.

£100 could be spent on a vocal microphone

Your £250 donation pays for the cost of 2 replacement hauling ropes for our stage flying system.

Your £500 donation is equivalent to us providing an audio described performance for people with sight loss.  £500 also allows us to host a masterclass for aspiring performers.

A £1,000 donation is equivalent to the cost of 3 new theatre spotlights.
