Story

Dear All

First of all thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

It is my 40th birthday this year and I have lots planned in order to celebrate.  However, it hs also given me an opportunity to do something which I have always wanted to do which is not quite so relaxing!

Against my better judgement and after a glass or 2 of wine I have decided to abseil down the side of the maternity block at Ipswich Hospital on Saturday 12 July.

I work as a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator in Cancer Services at Ipswich Hospital specialising in Upper GI and Thyroid cancers.  The job involves working closely with patients and their families. The charity I am supporting is Cancer Campaign in Suffolk which provides valuable support to the patients and their families who are going through a very difficult and emotional time.

I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me for this event and if you are feeling really brave then you can come and watch and I recommend you stand well back from the landing area!

Now for the technical stuff:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Campaign In Suffolk will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many many thanks for your support.

Carolyn
