My story
Epic carriage drive - Boreland to Birmingham! 27 Sept - 9 Oct
They did it! A team of disabled drivers completed their carriage drive from the borders of Scotland to Birmingham, almost 300 miles to raise money for Sports Driving Unlimited. 2 carriages driven by people with a range of disabilities, including wheelchair users did the adventure in 12 days, with 13 ponies, 3 dogs and a support team of over 30 people and 2 artic wagons! One of the drivers was a former para-driving World Champion. Funds raised will be used to provide sessions for groups and individuals who are disabled, disadvantaged or terminally ill. But just cos the trip is over, doesn't mean you can't still donate. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to SDU and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. We provide opportunities for people of all ages who have a disability, mental/behavioural disorder or terminal illness to enjoy the therapeutic benefits, fun and excitement of sports pony driving, including training programmes for groups and individuals to develop and improve competitive skills.
