To celebrate being 60, we both ran a marathon in April - Archie in Vienna and Caryl in London.  A week later we started our big walk - Land's End to John O'Groats.  Not everyone's idea of a 60th birthday celebration.

We have now completed all three challenges.  The walk took us 69 days, with a total mileage of 1172 miles.  We are pretty tired, but very pleased with ourselves. 

We want to raise lots of money for Macmillan Cancer Support who do such fantastic work with cancer sufferers and their families.  This is particularly significant for us at this time as our dear friend Ian recently lost his battle with cancer.
