“It’s every parent’s worst nightmare to be told their child will die before them”

This July - August, Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids are aiming to raise £35,000 to help St Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle which supports children and families who are suffering life limiting and life threatening illnesses.  Some of these children will die when they’re very young, others will deteriorate slowly over a number of years.  In most cases, full time care falls to the parents – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The families affected are under huge emotional, physical and financial strain.
