Cash for Kids has been raising money for disabled and disadvantaged children within the Northsound Radio transmission area since 1996.  Each year, it hopes to have at least £100,000 to distribute in grants.  Over the years this money has gone to help fund after school clubs, pre-school play groups, sports and music clubs, sensory rooms and gardens, convert surplus police boxes into internet youth centres and a double decker bus into a mobile youth club.  It has funded a healthy tuck shop at an infant school,  a Riding for the Disabled pony and a trip to London for a primary class on the day HRH the Prince of Wales visited the Tate to see their art work.

There is one distribution each each each, in April, but applications can be submitted any time.
