Wish, founded in 1987, is a registered national charity whose mission is to provide long-term, gender-sensitive support and services to women with mental health needs in their journey through the criminal justice and mental health systems and into the community, and to support women to have their voices heard at a policy level.

My story

In the last few years I've worked on several projects in mental health and within the prison service.

I also gave up smoking and want to get fit.

This is the first of 3 ways that I will be raising money this year, for 3 different charities that are close to my heart. As I attempt to combine wanting to help those I've directly seen needing support and compassion, with giving myself a good smack on the bottom to get moving and get fit, I hope you'll tuck your hand in your pocket and find a few pennies to send my way.

A 10 K run is A LONG LONG way for me!!
