Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running from Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, to Lincoln Castle in order to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes. The route is approximately 100 miles long, taking me over the North Yorkshire Wolds, over the Humber bridge and through many Lincolnshire towns and villages, such as Brigg, Kirton in Lindsey, Gainsborough, Struton By Stow and eventually into Lincoln. I will “hopefully” be finishing at the Lincoln 10km road race finishing line. I am aiming to complete the challenge within a 24 hour period!

 

I wonted to come up with a challenge that was on par with the type of challenges that  our troops face when they return injured from operational duties. I quickly realised that nothing I could come up with, would even come close to the type of hard work and determination shown by our injured troops during their recovery and beyond. Instead I came up with Castle2Castle 100!! This event is all the more challenging for me because I have never attempt long distance running before, and only have 5 months to train!
