I am raising money for the Teignbridge and Totnes branch of Cats Protection. I am a volunteer Cat Cuddler there, helping to socialise the cats and kittens (especially the timid ones) and to give them the love and affection they need while they wait to be rehomed.

On December 8th 2012 I will be doing a 24 hour Sponsored Cat Cuddle-athon to raise funds for this incredibly worthwhile cause. I shall be cuddling and playing with the cats for 24 hours non-stop! Many of the cats and kittens that come to Cats Protection have a sad story behind them (neglected, stray, abandoned, owners unable to keep them, owner passed away etc) but thanks to the hard work and dedication of Teignbridge and Totnes Cats Protection team there are hundreds of happy endings every year.

Every cat that comes to the branch will, if needed, be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given a full health check. This is costly and on average £150 is spent on each cat. The branch is run by volunteers and largely dependent on donations and the funds raised by events such as this.
