Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SSAFA Forces Help will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Additional Information:

The Sponsored Dive will be carried out on the last diving day of the expedition 14th March 2006.  This will be a physical and mental challenge and will not be for the faint-hearted.  The distance around the Island is about 1.5 Miles travelling with and against currents up to 2 to 3 knots; this can be incredibly tiring I guess you could compare it when you are against the current as running flat-out for about ½ a mile.

There are numerous other challenges to over come, such as Air management as you only have a 12Litre cylinder charged to just over 200Bar, Depth control as we are going to be between 6 to 9 meters down for the duration, avoiding the Coral and keeping at a safe distance from the wildlife (Sharks and Morays) if you want any more details please phone me.  (Note: This will be carried out in 2 phases, half the team with the worst overall air management within the expedition first, followed by the second half once they have completed or reached there maximum distance.  This event will be carried out using full Joint Service Diving Regulations, with at least 1 SADS and an Advanced diver on surface at all times.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
