The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Hello,

By now it's more than likely I have told you about my next challenge in April 2012. Incase I haven't 6 of us are completing a Husky challenge travelling 250km from Norway to Sweden with the help of some Huskies. This is to raise in total £24,000 to improve and maintain parent facilities at the Royal London hospital. The Sick Children's Trust is a fantastic charity which exist to provide high quality 'Home from Home' accomodation for families of seriously ill children. Working on the paediatric critical care unit we see everyday how vital it is that parents are close by to their children and that they get as much rest as possible to enable them to care for their children during a very stressful time. As part of raising this huge and very daunting amount of money a group of us are aiming to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in September which will be interesting! Walking the highest mountains in Scotland, Wales and England in 24 hours. Any money that you can donate will go towards a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
