Our mission is to support people to earn an income from a trade. We run vocational training and business development projects with our partners in Ghana, Malawi, Uganda and Zambia. Our UK volunteers collect and refurbish donated tools and sewing machines to support our projects and our shop sales.

Story

Helloooo,

As you read this, I am currently whizzing through the British countryside to the far North of Scotland. I am cycling from Land's End (the very bottom of Cornwall) to John O'Groats (at the very tip of Scotland) - a journey of over 1000 miles! So far me and my Mum have cycled 500 miles and now that we're confident we can actually finish it within the next couple of weeks I'm seeking sponsorship. As well as being a good opportunity to lose all that excess Finals flab it is also a great chance to raise money for a brilliant charity. 'Tools for Self Reliance' (TFSR) is an amazing charity that collects old, unwanted tools from people in the UK and ships them abroad to impoverished parts of the world and trains people to use them. It is particularly effective, because it is not just giving people a one-off offer of aid, but rather a long-lasting tool to build their own futures. Please donate as much as you can - my saddle-sore backside needs your support!

I'll put up photos once we've finished - not just of the heavily-laden bikes, but also of my kick-ass toned calves and thighs!!
