We make the discoveries that defeat cancer to improve the lives of patients everywhere

Story

In November 2013 the cancer my mum had bravely fought off 27 years previously returned and took her from us.

My mum was enjoying watching her grandchildren grow and was adament that she was ready to fight, not go. Being told there was no more hope was impossible to accept.

The Institute of Cancer Research has been driving scientific discoveries in cancer and its treatment for more than 100 years. Making advances in treatment that give people hope where previously there was none.

This is why I am running the London Marathon to raise money for ICR in my mums name.
