Story

A friend asked me if I would run the Great North Run with her this year to raise money for her daughters charity “Diabetes UK” – I immediately said yes and here I am asking for your support to help me raise some money for Diabetes UK.  Ella was only 11 months old when she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and she is now 11 years old.  On a daily basis she has to inject herself at least 4 times a day.  Ella has to watch her carbohydrate intake and regularly goes to the hospital to check all is ok.  Over the years since I have known Ella, I have admired her.  She never makes a fuss and just gets on with pricking herself in the thigh and checking her blood count.  The hope is that a cure is found for Type 1 diabetes and I hope I can make a difference with your help.

I really do appreciate your support in advance.
