Story
Hi All,
I've been persuaded to run the Cancer Research 10k as part of an attempt to get a teeny bit fitter and raise some money for charity. Despite having done a very small amount of running in the past (2 years ago), I don't actually enjoy it, so I would very much appreciate it if you could all sponsor me to torture myself.
I'm running the event in memory of my Grandma, Mrs Winifred Martin, who died from cancer of the oesophagus on July 14th 2000. My grandma was a very special lady, who put up with my teenage tantrums, gave me constant love and support, and probably did not receive the credit she deserved from me while I was a teenager who fought with her frequently when she looked after me after school. But I always loved her very much. Unfortunately these days I know better and she is no longer here for me to share my life with. I often think of her, and I would like to run this in her memory.
I know money is tight at the moment for a lot of people, luckily you have plenty of time in which to sponsor me since the race is in October. Please give as much or little as you can. All dontations are very welcome.
Love,
