Story
First of all, thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
There are some people who make a difference in their life, Dad was one of them. He was a giver. He was a hard working, generous, big hearted man who gave his best to everything he did. He had a huge smile!
On March 13th 2007 he died suddenly of a heart attack. As far as he and we knew, he was fit and healthy. Only 48 hours before he died he told me he would be around for another 20 or 30 years. He was 64 years old when he died.
Three years on, on 13th March 2010 I flew to a tiny airstrip in the Himalayas to begin my trek to Everest Base Camp. I did this to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, to support them in their work fighting heart and circulatory disease. I did this to celebrate my Dad, to celebrate overcoming Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which I lived with for almost 10 years and to celebrate life and how grateful I am to be well.
I know how precious health is. I am committed to supporting those such as the British Heart Foundation who work to research, educate and provide medical services into the causes and treatment of heart disease.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and I ask you to sponsor me for my trek. This was a HUGE challenge for me and I appreciate your support.
My love and a big thank you
Catherine xxx
