I have practiced as a counsellor for seven years and for part of that time have worked with clients at the kernos Centre. During that time the counsellors at the centre have helped many clients to make long lasting changes, enabling them to draw on their own strengths and become self-sufficient. For some, the ability to access counselling despite their financial situation, has been a life changing experience and it is my hope that in 'Jumping for Kernos' I can help the Kernos Centre continue to enable others.
This is not an easy feat for me given my fear of heights. Yes! I must be mad. But this fear is counter balanced by my strong belief that counselling should be accessible to all who need it rather than only those who can afford it.
