***** Challenge Complete. and I survived! *****
Into the arctic circle, sledding over 200Km in 5 days into the wilds of the most Northern European country to raise money for RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People)This will be a gruelling event which will test me physically and mentally and where team work between (wo)man and dog can mean the difference between life and death (and this is not a total over exaggeration).
I will be given a team of 4-6 dogs that I will have to run and care for, covering distances of up to 60km per day and with miles of up hill climbs I will have to work with the dogs, helping the team by pushing and running along side the sled and all this in temperatures as low as -30ºC with nothing but frozen sandwiches for lunch!!
