Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We're attempting to climb the biggest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours. We'll start at  Ben Nevis in Scotland  then travel down to The Lake District in England where we'll attempt Scafell, before getting back in the mini bus to travel down to Wales and finally attempt to climbSnowdon.

The reason we're taking on this challenge is to raise funds for Caudwell Children's Charity and to send a child and their family facing a life threatening illness on the Destination Dreams Program.

Destination Dreams is an annual trip organised and run by Caudwell Children to provide youngsters battling life limiting conditions and their families with the holiday of a lifetime. In November, the charity hopes to take 25 families to DisneyWorld, Florida, where they will stay at the Give Kids the World resort, Orlando, specifically designed for sick youngsters and where a child can only visit once in their lifetime.

Caudwell Children help to improve the lives of sick and disabled children around the UK. To date they have donated over £10 million to kids with over 160 medical conditions.

One very important point to consider when raising funds for Caudwell Children is that every penny raised goes directly to the kids as all of the management and administration costs are covered by the charity founder, John Caudwell.

We have set ourselves a team target of £2,500 and have secured a match sponsorship deal with Northern Rock. This means that if we hit our team fund raising target, together with Northern Rock's contribution we will have raised a total of £5,000. This is the amount needed to send a child and their family on the Destination Dreams holiday program.

To read a press release on last years Destination Dreams Program see http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/Dreams-come-true-charity-holiday-familiesarticle-573251-details/article.html

Every penny you sponsor us will be matched by Northern Rock so please please dig deep and give what you can. The challenge we will take on will be by no means an easy one but without your support we will not reach our target and really make a difference to a Childs life.

Thank you so much for your support.
