We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

The Cavendish Cavaliers Cricket Club is a less-than-occasional team of cricketers based in Torquay, Devon.  We play purely for the love of the game, and are blessed with far more enthusiasm than actual ability.  The Cavaliers are available for friendly fixtures throughout the season.

As well as playing, we are also fundraising for Cricket Without Boundaries, an excellent charity which works to improve people's lives through cricket.  We feel it is very appropriate that we support a charity that does such excellent work through the medium of cricket, a sport we love so much.

Whether you're a vanquished opponent, victorious foe or just someone who has stumbled on our page by mistake, we'd be very grateful if you'd make a donation to CWB.  It would mean that our wandering of the County, getting thrashed by all comers, would not be entirely in vain.

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
