Caroline Shepherd's Fundraising Page

Caroline Shepherd is raising money for ME Association
In memory of Lynn Gilderdale
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I will be walking 20 km (just over 12 miles) across the South Downs in West Sussex on 9th May 2009.  Those of you who know me will know this will be a very difficult task as it will mean I will have get of my bum and cut back on the wine and chocolate!!!

Some of you may know that Lynn Gilderdale passed away in December 2008 after suffering from M.E. for 17 years.  She is dearly missed by all her close friends and family.

Lynn and I went to Uplands Community College together and since she was struck down with illness from the age of 14 she has never been far from my thoughts.

Having attended Lynn's funeral in February I have felt compelled to do something to help fight a very misunderstood illness as I know there are many more people out there, some of which knew Lynn as "Jessie" through the online community, and who are still fighting this illness.

I know times are tough for everyone at the moment financially but if you could spare as much as you can that woud be absolutely great and very much appreicated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ME Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
