Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to raise £2000.00 for Prostate Cancer UK and aim to run two half marathons and one Ultra marathon within the next six months. The two half marathons are the Formula One race circuit at Silverstone race track on the 13th of March and the World Half Marathon championships (Mass start)on the 26th of March in Cardiff. The main goal however is to complete the CCC Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc from Courmayeur in Italy around Mont Blanc to Chamonix in France. This will require covering 101km in distance with approximately 20,000ft of accent. I forgot to mention that I have managed to gain a place in the Great North Run on September 11th!

Both my twin brother Pete and myself have been diognosed with Prostate Cancer with Pete having had radical surgery, radio therapy, MRI scans, Hormone therapy etc etc etc. I have had several biopsies, MRI scans etc etc. I am running quite well and this is my way of trying to help gain funds to research into Prostate Cancer. Knowing that people like yourselves have kindly donated will spur me on to finish a tough challange like the CCC (Courmayeur - Champex - Chamonix) UTMB race. I will update this page on how each run goes, training and how the fund raising is going. Thank you again.

UPDATE: 16th June'16: Thank you to all those who have donated so far, I have submitted a second article for the Ross Gazette that should be out this coming week starting Monday 20th. This will cover some training that I under took in the alps in May and also fits in with some fund raising by my wife and I at Morissons supermarket on Wednesday the 22nd of that week. To test out my fitness (physical and mental) I have entered the Cheltenham Ultra marathon on Sunday the 19th, this will also give me a chance to try different types of nutrition over the 39 miles. Thanks once again to you all. Ric.
