Raising funds for Melanoma Research

Story

During the month of May the children at CCHT will all be skipping for 10 minutes every day to raise money for melanoma research, in aid of the Royal Marsden Hospital Cancer Charity. We have chosen this incredibly worthy and wonderful cause in support of Mrs Hawkins’s friend Shiona who has had stage 4 melanoma cancer for three years now and has had world beating treatment from the Royal Marsden hospital. To show her enormous appreciation Shiona has dedicated much of her time to fundraising for them and we would love to help her. This is why our fundraising challenge is called Shomelanoma.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
