Those who know me will know that this is by no means something I usually do. In fact, I think the last time I did a sponsored anything was a 6 mile walk when I was in the Brownies and about 20 years younger. I am not a runner, swimmer or experienced walker (which bodes well). However, I can throw myself around to music well enough when given the chance so I figure that's a start!

I had been trying to think of something to really challenge myself as the big 3-0 looms ever closer, and this opportunity presented itself in the form of Leanne, Sally and a good few gins. 

Although I'm nervous already, I am also really looking forward to the challenge and doing something I can be proud of. The fact that I am doing it with friends and in support of the British Heart Foundation is just the icing on the cake. Chances are we have all lost a loved one due to heart disease, or we know someone who has benefited from the ongoing research done by these amazing people. I definitely count myself among those people and if this is a way I can give back then I'm throwing myself in head first. 

PLEASE NOTE: We are self-funding our adventure so all the money that we raise will go straight to our charity. Also please don't forget to gift aid for the extra awesome 25% which is paid out to all UK taxpayers.
