Story

The Legend that is Chris

As many of you will know, in December 2009 Christopher was diagnosed with stage four Lung Cancer. We were devastated and wanted to do something positive - together with a load of his friends, 'TEAM DUNCS' was formed. The plan was to raise an ambitious £25,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

The first event was back in March 2010 and there has since been a host of fundraising efforts from parties to marathons. Next on the calendar, The London Triathlon - again - the weekend of the 22nd - 23rd September 2012 where you can catch a lot of us don some rather fetching lycra.

We probably all know someone who is or was affected by Cancer. There is no rhyme or reason for who or when it comes into ones life. It’s like being hit by a car, out of the blue. Christopher was inspirational, keeping his spirits high and fighting with courage, humor and concern for others genuinely to the very end. Very sadly we lost Christopher on 5th June 2010, just eleven days before his 27th birthday.

I'm sure requests for donations or sponsorships seem to be knocking on your door quite regularly. But whether £1, £1000 or anything in between, we are grateful for your help.

Thank you,

Nina, Michael, Mel and the rest of TEAM DUNCS
