Dudley Curtis and Alex Brown cycled 100 miles on the 15 of August to mark the centenary of the PLA and to raise money for the AHOY centre.  Despite blazing heat and at time a 20 knot headwind we managed to maintain an average speed of 16mph and finished in a little over 6 hours.

Based in Deptford, SE London, the Centre is open to everyone and is a place where you can have the opportunity to enjoy the experience of sailing and boating activities on the Thames in the heart of .  We are aiming to jointly raise £1000 so that the AHOY centre can buy 40 new life jackets which are suitable for people with disabilities.  The ones AHOY currently have require the participants to pull them over their head when putting on, however due to mobility and special requirements this can be a very difficult task for many.
