Brain tumours kill more children and people under 40 than leukaemia or any other cancer   If this statistic shocks you, ask around, chances are someone you know will have been touched by this dreadful disease – are you able to do something about it?   We need people like you and companies to get behind the cause of brain tumours, in the same way that organisations have helped raise substantial funds for research into leukaemia, breast and other cancers – with amazing results. The majority of people diagnosed with these cancers can now expect a cure and to live beyond ten years from diagnosis.   Only 14% of people diagnosed with brain cancer live longer than five years!   This is because brain tumour research is woefully under-funded when compared to other cancers… And has been for over twenty years! To find a cure for brain tumours will take years of research. Research costs money. A centre of excellence focusing on a three year programme of brain tumour research will need £1million per annum.
