In 2006 I decided that even though I was on 24 hour oxygen and waiting for a transplant, I was going to participate in the Hydro Active Challenge. Through this crazy idea, Emily's Angels were born.
Two years down the line and I have been lucky enough to receive my new lungs and am living life to the full. However I want to participate in the Hydro Active (now called hte Adidas challenge) every year for CF as even though I am so very lucky to have this second chance, Cystic Fibrosis still kills three young people a week.
The CF Angels are a group of people who want to have a good day, run/walk (or in some cases wheel) successfully round the 5km course, and most importantly of all, raise money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Whether we have CF, have children with it, friends or have lost someone close to us, we all have been affected by Cystic Fibrosis one way or another.
