We fund vital research to ensure effective treatments for all.
Story
Thank you to all our sponsors, the skydive, old skool night, cake sales and pub quiz's have raised a great amount of funds for CF. BUT we're not stopping there, our £8,000 target is ongoing, next event will be a pub quiz in Edinburgh November 2010.
Please feel free to keep our ongoing target realistic and donate at anytime.
So why raise funds for CF
My husband has CF and “looks so normal” We all know that looks can be so deceiving. When we look deeper than the skin we get the bigger picture. On the outside people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) can look perfectly healthy. On the inside people with CF are suffering from a number of distressing conditions including; lung damage, malnutrition, diabetes, liver disease and gallstones. These disorders seriously affect quality of life as well as life expectancy, with the average only 31 years. (Sarah Jane)
Why raise money for the CF Trust? We need your help to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a national charity concerned with the well-being of people with CF. You probably know somebody with CF as it is the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited disease and affects 7,500 babies, children and young adults in the UK. We’re raising funds to contribution towards the money needed to continue the medical and scientific research aimed at understanding, treating and curing CF. Your money will make a massive difference and ensure that people with CF receive the best possible care and support in all aspects of their lives.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life.
