Chainbow has decided to team up with Sparks in order to raise £61,767 over 24 months to aid research into diagnostic immune markers in childhood arthritis and the associated eye disease, uveitis.

The Chainbow staff have already contributed to this fantastic cause by enjoying a relaxing Temple Spa evening hosted by Temple Spa representative, Sara Bergin. As Sara kindly agreed to give 10% of all takings on the evening to Sparks we were able to raise £135 on that evening alone.

We are now looking forward to several other challenges that are enabling us to support Sparks. Several staff members are looking both to face their fears with a charity skydive and improve their fitness with the Coast to Coast bike ride!

Sparks, The Children’s Medical Research charity, is delighted to be Chainbow's chosen charity for 2008.

Statistically, 1 in 30 babies in the UK are born with a health condition that will affect them, and subsequently their families for the rest of their lives. Sparks’ aim is to reduce this statistic to ensure that all babies are born healthy and stay healthy.

Sparks was founded in 1991 by sporting personalities who were grateful for their own health.   Since we were founded Sparks has raised £15.2 million which has had a significant impact in touching thousands of tiny lives across the world.  

Gabby and Kenny Logan are the Sparks co-presidents for 2008.
