Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Over the course of 2009 I will be pushing myself way beyond the usual limits (of the sofa and the TV) to get out and run over 100km for for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, a locally based, North-West charity. As much as I wish I could do the whole distance in one go, I'm spreading it over 5 events; 2 10km runs, 2 half marathons and 1 full marathon.

Even I'm unsure if my footballer's knees can take such punishment, and my developing jelly belly will certainly go into hiding (I hope!). Recently a close family member of mine was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Therefore I am more determined than ever to push myself hard, and then harder still to raise as much as I can for those researching future treatments against Cancer.
Barclays have kindly agreed to match, Pound for Pound, whatever I manage to raise up to £2,250!!!!
So, I really hope I can take full advantage of their generosity by hitting this target. Donating through Justgiving is totally secure. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
