This is the first of my summer challenges, a 10k race in Leeds. The event was set-up by Jane Tomlinson before she lost her battle with cancer.  I am running the 10k in support of all the great work she did for cancer charities and raising money for Jane's Appeal.

In recent years I have known friends and their family fight cancer and seen the support cancer charities offer the patient and their family.  It is a horrible illness and a little bit of money from you guys will go towards helping find new treatments and supporting those with cancer.
