Championship Walk

BTRS Just Giving Pages is raising money for Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity
In memory of Samantha Bate
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
At YBTC, we walk beside anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis through every step of their journey. Our local support brings comfort, care, and hope to families across Yorkshire- while our local research and investment in 'pump priming' brings us closer to kinder treatments and a cure.

Story

Kevin Moore, Carol Robertson and Bev Foster are walking 68 miles in 48 hours to raise funds for BTRS . They are walking in memory of Samantha Bate who died from an aggressive brain tumour in 2007, one week before daughter Sophie's 1st Birthday.

Kevin Moore was Sam's beloved uncle who misses his niece so much decided he wanted to do a monumental walk in her memory. As a devoted Hull City fan, it seemed logical to walk from Hull City to somewhere. This is where Carol Robertson and Bev Foster came in. They wanted to join Kevin's challenge and as Leeds United supporters, Elland Road, seem like a good choice for a finishing post! Hull's striker Aaron Maclean is also supporting the event!

The team aim to raise £15,000 to take the total raised in Sam's memory to £100k - all to fund brain tumour research in Sam's memory.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
