Sponsored Run and Row · 14 November 2010
Type 1 Diabetes is an ever increasing global epidemic and it receives relatively little funding. We have had Diabetes for a combined total of over 25 years and we know the problems young diabetics face.
We will be doing a sponsored run and row on World Diabetes Day (November 14th). This will be to raise awareness and to raise funds for research into an artificial pancreas. An artificial pancreas would take the human error out of diabetes and dramatically improve the lives of diabetics globally.
However, Type 1 Diabetes research is expensive: it costs ₤1/minute. We aim to raise at least ₤3600 to fund 60 hours of research. ANY help in reaching this target would be really appreciated by us and the research team in Cambridge. Every pound gets us a pound closer to the only cure we will receive in our lifetime. Please be as generous as possible.
James and Muhammad.
