Thank you for visiting The Channel Paddle fundraising page.

On the most weather friendly day possible in September 2005 James Cracknell, double Olympic gold medallist, and Peter Craske, owner of the Surf's Up Surf School in Cornwall will race across the Channel on surf boards to set the fastest time possible from Dover to Calais.

It could take them, depending on tides & currents, 10 hours of paddling or 60,000 paddle strokes each. The paddles have to be done in the prone position - arms only.

Are they mad? Yes totally!

This is a big challenge. Please dig deep and sponsor James & Peter online. They are training hard for the gruelling 22 miles (longer when you factor in wind, tides & currents) they will have to paddle - your kind donation will be a real encouragement to them. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor The Channel Paddle: Access Sport will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support.
