Story

As some of you know, I practise a form of Buddhism. A key part of this practise is the chanting of the phrase 'Nam Myoho Renge Kyo'.

Currently I do this for an average of about 30 minutes a day and I want to increase this but usually my attempts start off well but then fade away. So I thought this would be a great idea to encourage me to chant more and raise some money for a worthwhile charity at the same time.

So here's what I am going to do:

From 1st July 2007 to 31st December 2007, I will chant for 230 hours .. that's an average of 1.25 hours each day, so more than double what I'm currently doing. I hope you will encourage me and help me to raise funds for Childline at the same time - Thank You

Final Day of Chanting

so far chanted for 6 hour

time remaining to target by midnight tonight - 0  hours

Yipppeeeeee finally finished at 7.45pm .. thanks to everyone who sponsored me :)

ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC
