Story

I run the Biking Belles - Chichester and District Ladies Cycling Club. This year we've decided to form the Charity Belles and our target is to raise £10,000 for the following two local charities by arranging various cycling events in 2012:

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust www.thesussexsnowdroptrust.com/

and

Brent Lodge Bird & Wildlife Trust - www.brentlodge.org/. Their details will be added to this site shortly.

Two very good local causes.

Here are our fund raising events:

Saturday, June 16. A family bike ride meeting at 4pm in Westgate along quiet country lanes and cycle tracks to Bosham. Catching the ferry over to Itchenor, then supper at The Ship Inn with a raffle and then cycling back to Westgate, arriving at approx 8pm. We ran this last year and was a great success.

Star raffle prize so far...x2 tickets to racing at Goodwood on Friday June 22, followed by music and dancing hosted by a celebrity DJ. More prizes are needed please!

Sunday July 1st - Me and several Belles are taking part in the Maratona - www.maratona.it - which is a cycling marathon over the Dolomites - we're doing the 34 mile challenge - during high temperatures and high altitude. Sponsorphip / donations are needed for this please - all moneies will go to our charities

More fund raising events are planned.
