On 11th July 2009 we will compete in the Tackle Africa football marathon, playing 12 hours of solid football on Clapham Common, in order to raise vital funds to improve education and awareness of HIV and AIDS amongst young Africans.

Our team of champions has been in intensive training for months in order to triumph on the day. Nutritionists, fitness trainers, sports psychologists have all played their part in moulding our formidable group of players into goal scoring machines. The brave Bain participants are:

STEPHEN BALL– tireless in midfield, this ‘un-Sung’ hero has foot-Ball in his DNA.

RAMAN BHATIA– silky skilled and with super quick feet, we are expecting great things from our resident Ronaldo on the day.

JOACHIM BRIEDENTHAL– once sent off for attacking a referee, our very own Paulo Di Canio has mellowed a bit since his younger days.

JAMIE DEVLIN (C) – speedy down the pitch but with somewhat lacking the midas touch, this Shaun Wright Phillips wannabe is hoping his two left feet don’t trip him up.

SI DOMONE– it’s no co-incidence that Domone and Dominate have five letters in common - the towering and terrifying presence of Martin Keown fan Si will have opposing attackers running for cover.

JAMEEL LALANI - out injured for six months and just like Jamie Redknapp seems to be courting the media industry in his time off.

BRETT LEWIS – with this boyish good looks and links to America, Brett lists David Beckham as one of his heros.

MAX LINES (C) - this ‘classy’ 'central' 'defender' combines effortlessly with Richardson to emulate David Dunne

MARK MILLER – despite getting on a bit, just like Ryan Giggs this guy can still run.

UGO POSADA– Columbian defender Ugo plays with his heart on his sleeve, hoping to emulate the heroics of fellow countryman Andreas Esobar.

JOE RICHARDSON – his troubled past behind him, Joe ‘Lines’ up with Max as Johnathon Woodgate in the centre of defence.
