Watching a documentary on channel 4 about "Rough aunties" about a group of women, working hard to help abused children in Durban, South Africa, I have rarely been so moved. The amazing work they do is unbelievable as the children they help are some of the saddest cases of child abuse known to man. Fighting against, ignorance, poverty, desperation, lack of hope, despair, horrendous conditions, superstition, crime to name but a few, they continue their awe-inspiring work, in order to help every child they come into contact with. They save lives and souls and how they cope with the haunting nature of the childrens stories experiences take you beyond admiration, and it has stayed with me, making me want to help them, make a difference, their courage, love and warmth to each other and the abused children, is inpsiring, as is the toughness to the adults that perpetrate these crimes upon these innocent children. Please help them x Leigh x
