2010 Edinburgh Marathon · 23 May 2010 ·

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Time to go running again, only a little further this time....

Im running the Edinburgh marathon in May 2010 for the charity Headway, who promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers. After losing my dad to a brain haemorrhage, I'd like to help this charity to help others.

Im planning on doing numerous 10k events and maybe a half marathon to help during my training so your guaranteed bang for your buck as i'll be dragging my (currently) overweight derriere through lots of 'races'. So far i've covered:

October         5.6Miles

November     10.4Miles

December     8.4Miles

January         21.3Miles

February        18.25Miles

March            25.1Miles

April               56.8Miles

May               17Miles

Thanks so much for your support, this would be a lonely slog without your kind sponsorship!!
