Story

First of all, thanks for taking the time to look at my page.

From Friday 9 May until Monday 12 May I am participating in the Tour of Ireland Cycle Challenge. Here's the address of the event website:

http://www.tourofireland.eu/home.htm

As you'll see, this is a cyclosportive that covers 500 miles through Ireland in four days in May - an average of just over 125 miles per day. This may not be much to you, but is a serious challenge to my frail and elderly self. The event charity is the NCBI - the Irish equivalent of the RNIB - and through my entry fee I'll be contributing £400 to help people living with sight loss. In addition to this, however, I'd like to raise as much as I can for Save the Children. Here's their web address, so you can see the range of their activities.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save the Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
