Yes, that's right 145 MILES ULTRA MARATHON Birmingham to London! UPDATE: It's over! The race was much tougher than we had anticipated (and we expecting it to be pretty horrendous!) but we still made it to 60 miles (Simon) and 100 miles (Charlie) before injury and time limits forced us to pull out. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far and to Charlie's mum and dad for all their support (and post race rehab). Also, to our support crew - Sam and Ed - words cannot describe our gratitude. We'll repay you one day...just not sure how! Here's the link: http://www.gucr.co.uk/ No idea how far we will get, but its a good cause so if you can, please help Pancreatic Cancer UK Charity! Cancer of the pancreas is currently very difficult to treat. Because early stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes any symptoms, the condition is often not detected until the cancer is relatively advanced. Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death in Europe and USA, and the 7000 cases which present each year in the UK have a median survival of four to six months.. Read more at: http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/ In the video to the left, an American lecturer tells of his very moving experience of cancer. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Pancreatic Cancer UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support!
