Story
In November this year, I'll be taking on the almighty task of cycling from the Pacific Coast, across Costa Rica all the way to the Caribbean.
Covering over 500km in just 7 days, I'll be part of a team from Lloyds Banking Group who aim to raise £140,000 for the Alzheimer's Society.
Now, those who know me well will know that the last time I cycled regularly, I was putting copies of the Evening News through letter boxes, so this challenge will push my fitness levels to the maximum!
What's more is that I'll be taking along my cameras and documenting the whole trip on film.
Each member of the team has been set the task to raise £4,000 each, every penny of which will go straight to the Alzheimer's Society.
My grandmother had dementia. I saw first hand the massive impact that dementia has on so many lives, not only that of the person with dementia, but with those around them that have to adapt their lives to care for loved one's. By taking part in this challenge, I can raise enough money to provide support for 62 carers.
I greatly appreciate every single penny that you are able to spare to support a fantastic charity and back me as I take on this challenge.
Thank you,
Charlie
