To all our friends and family,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. As you probably already know from the wedding invitations, we have asked everyone not to buy us presents. Seeing as everyone is being kind enough to fly all the way to Spain for our wedding, we would like to return the favor by not insisting you fork out for a "Forever Love" six piece dining set with matching gravy bowl. (In addition, Charlie's chronic clumsiness means she is only allowed to handle plastic plates and cups).
The Royal Brompton Hospital Charitable Fund is a cause very close to our hearts and that of our families. In 1998, Charlie's niece, Megan (daughter of Rhonda and Martin), was admitted to the hospital suffering from severe pneumonia on both lungs. After a long battle, Megan's life was saved thanks to the expertise and dedication of the doctors and nurses together with the use of essential equipment. We will be forever in their debt.
The Royal Brompton is in constant need of funding for new equipment. At the moment, they are desperate for Massimo Saturation Monitors which monitor the amount of oxygen in a baby or child's blood. This was an essential piece of equipment in Megan's recovery and we would love to ensure that other children and families also benefit from it's life-saving properties.
Please give what you can afford - from a couple of quid to 10 billion dollars!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charitable Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you so much for your donation. It is much appreciated.
Lots of love,
Charlie and Guy.
