From 11-21 February 2006 I will be treking an arduous 100km through the Helambu region of Nepal, in aid of Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. I have paid £299 towards the cost of this trek and have been putting all my spare time into fundraising and physical training to prepare myself for the challenge. I have already raised £500 through various other fundraising activities, Not to mention a big thanks to Harv who collected nearly £200 by running a Killer 10 miles in the great south run, And Flying Bull Primary School who raised £83 having a non-uniform day. Another big Thank you goes to Hilsea Short Mat Bowls Club who very kindly donated their subs this week £33.50 in total, Also thanks for the cup of tea and biscuit - I may come to you instead of tae kwon do from now on!!! But I still have a way to go- I have committed to raise £2,600, which could fund Mindinfoline for 4 days during which 400 people in crisis could be helped. Many of these people might otherwise have nowhere to turn, and so it is vital that this service continues to be funded, so PLEASE HELP!!!
Just thought - perhaps i should have posted a picture of the conditions I will be living in - i'm not looking forward to camping at below freezing temps - I hate being cold!! aaargh!!!
