Charlie's Cycle Challenge · 12 May 2009

Cerebral Palsy Cymru is Wales’s leading cerebral palsy charity. We provide specialist therapy to babies and children who have or are suspected of having cerebral palsy. We also provide a family support service which offers practical and emotional support to those who need it.

Story

This is Charlie. She is 2½ and like one in 400 children in the UK, Charlie has Cerebral Palsy. Her condition means that she has limited control over her limbs and as a result everyday tasks such as eating, washing and dressing prove difficult and she is not yet able to walk without assistance or aids.

In January of this year Charlie attended the Bobath Childrens Therapy Centre for a month of intensive therapy which brought about vast improvements in her manoeuvrability and confidence. Unfortunately, places are limited at the centre, largely due to funding, and the Charity that run the centre rely on donations to help fund their services.

On the 1st August a group of Charlie's friends and family (most of who have not cycled in years!!) are undertaking a sponsored bike ride along the Taff Trail to raise money for this worthy charity.

We know times are hard but every penny counts, so please sponsor us now!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Bobath Childrens Therapy Centre Wales gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
