Dear all, Anyone who knows me will appreciate I'm not made for marathons and this will be no easy feat - so why on earth would i do it i hear you cry? A few of you may know that, before I was born, I had a sister Elizabeth who died of cot death. Although I obviously never knew her, I've always wanted to do something in her memory - and 2009 will be the year I finally put this into action and take my rugby playing frame round 26.2miles of London Marathon. I'm fundraising for Tommy's, a charity which funds research into miscarriages / stillbirths & premature deaths. They provide untold help to the many who rely on their service (click on Tommy's link). Clearly, related to my sister, their work is very close to my heart and if I can reach the modest target above which will help in some little way towards Tommy's work I will be over the moon Please please help me reach my target.
